Day #5

Today was quite an eventful day. Well, for mummy and daddy. Me? I was unwell and slept a lot. Apparently, I had this thing called jaundice. That was why the were doing the blood tests on me - to see how serious the jaundice was.

When I went to the clinic in the morning, the doctor there told daddy that I should be sent to the hospital just to be on the safe side. So mummy and daddy decided to do that. This time, I was sent to the General Hospital - the government hospital. Not as nice as the private hospital where I was born. But it was alright.

They gave me something to cover my eyes and put me under a bright light. Mummy sat by my side all the time and daddy kept her company as much as he could. We were in a ward with 3 or 4 other mothers and their babies. Some of them really cried a lot. Me? I was feeling rather weak so I slept most of the time.

Thank God cuz a the end of the day, I was allowed to go home as my condition improved. I'm glad that I could come back and sleep in my own crib - and I think mummy and dadd were really thankful to God that my condition improved and I could come home. The GH was pretty interesting - but I hope i dun have to go there again. Poor mummy had to walk so far and sat on that uncomfortable chair all day. She was feeling so weak when we got back.

I'm so blessed to have a mummy like that!
